This is the lovely chateau we stayed in. It's very old and full of character! It was kindly lent to us by the owner, who would pop in every so often. He's in his mid 80's and quite a character himself.
The views from the rooms were spectacular, and the weather was really gorgeous for the whole week. We visited the Museé de Desért , it was the story of the Huguenots,and what a strong faith they had in the midst of such persecution..It was very moving..
We all went to a restaurant, which was in a wine cellar, and very reasonably priced. It was great just to sit and chat about each persons situation..
The rest of the folk were American, and working in different parts of France, setting up or in the process of setting up International churches. It was a really good opportunity to hear how things are going.
I was really surprised, because I wasn't sure that having a church with English services would actually reach the French, which is what we are here for, but apparently it does, and very well too..so who knows what will happen in Bordeaux..
The children were wonderfully provided for too, and had the great opportunity of making a short film of Narnia! Here is Catrin as the white witch and her faithful dwarf..It was really great, and they had tremendous fun doing it,it was a lot of hard work. They were out filming nearly all day, and then the students who directed and filmed, were cutting and editing it. After the filming they would then do a short bible study using the story and the books of Matthew, Ephesians, 1Corinthians.

All the days work was finally cut down into 30 mins!! We saw the unedited version on the last night, you know, where they show the hand holding the script, or where the person who was killed in the battle scene, gets up and walks away whilst the camera is still rolling..Other bloopers too, it was hilarious.

We hope to get the refined version sent to us soon..looking forward to it.

All in all it was a great week, plenty to think about and pray about..where do we go from here?
