yesterday it was a national holiday here in France,'
L'Assomption' so everyone more or less, had the day off. This band stopped outside the pizza place we were in, and played..When it rained, some of them took refuge in the restaurant, others hid under some trees opposite.

We went to
Dax, about 1hr away, to see the
féte there.. They had bands galore playing in the streets, a fun fair, and lots of people dressed up in their costume, of red and white..

I think there was to be a bull fight later that evening ? Alan will have more info on the Davey blog, but we were too tired to stay..we left around 6pm

This is the bull ring..very posh eh..

Just some of the locals having fun. In the streets, there were places where you could get your beer, or something to eat.
It was just a good atmosphere..no trouble, just fun..maybe one or two the worst for wear, but otherwise no trouble that we saw.
