...not for us this time, our car broke down on the way from Deeside to Leicester. The cable broke after about 40 mins. Alan phoned for a break down truck that took us to Crew (and who lives 10 mins away? The Griffins!) So after some time of discussion, various options "stay in our house if you like whilst you wait for the cable to come" (4 days)
Go back to Deeside, go back to Pessac.
Lovely idea to stay in Griffin home but don't know anyone there, don't know bus roots etc not a lot to do.
Deeside, easy as long as we can find a garage to sort it out
Pessac, we would be home, take it to the garage where it was fitted last November. Then we would have to try find flights for the kids to get to camp next week.
Ben Griffin came over the hill like the calvary (deja vu???) took the kids to get a KFC take away whilst we decided what to do....
The general agreement was to go back to Deeside.
So, Alan got in touch with a chap who used to do our car way back when, phoned manufacturers to get cable, which arrives Wed. to be fitted Fri.
So Sarah & family welcomed us back with open arms, the car will be ready to take the kids to camp and we can go to SWales to see more of Alan's family.
An enforced rest, not a bad thing!
