Sunday seemed to go well, once we'd got over the hitch of getting everyone here!
We had some visitors of our friends Andreas & Janette, so it was nice to have the 4extras. The two children with them are the same age as Catrin & Gwilym which was great..they went off to the park for a while as we waited for the others to arrive.

We're very thankful that nothing drastic has happened since Alan has been away. However last night Gwilym was preparing his coffee, there was a sudden bang & flash, as all the electricity went off, & a small fire on the hob in the kitchen!

The flex of the kettle had been on the hob along with the coffee maker thingy, & had burnt through! We have only one electric point that works in the kitchen now, & the hob is plugged in to that, so we won't starve! We managed to find an extension lead to plug in a multi prise so we can use a new kettle, & the oven! There is no electricity in Gwilym's room, limited in our room & Catrin's room..We looked at the fuse box, but everything looked ok..thankfully Alan comes home soon.

Ahh what fun eh! I got a new kettle but you know they are sooo expensive! One I looked at was 50euros! I got one for 26euros which yes ok, it does have an element inside it..but hey, I felt so guilty about having to buy a new one, having just done the weekly shopping & now having to go & fill up the car with fuel!
It works anyway, & seemed to boil quicker than the last one..

Only one more week to go before my beloved comes home. Let's see if we can keep the rest of the electrics going ok until then!
