All over France,14 july, storming of the Bastille is celebrated.
We celebrated by having friends over to eat with us, & then off to the town centre where there is a huge park, which was full of people, tables, side stalls selling local produce & wines, to eat there, or to buy & take home.

It wasn't expensive & we think that maybe next year we could eat there,.There were table games set up to one side of the field, & we all had great fun challenging each other (plus anyone standing by!)

There was music & mad cap dancing all over the place, some entertainment from a Basque group (who were joined by 3 nutty women, waving some underwear in the air! less said about that the better!!)

Fireworks started about 11h for about 20mins..very impressive! Catrin took loads of very good pictures, some of which are in the collage..so click on it to see what a fun time we had.
