Back in the madness of life:

After our lovely holiday in Brittany,the family came back together, the children back from camp & Aber. We had a lovely pastoral visit from Stuart Olyott, which was a real help & blessing.
We went to a restaurant in town, & this very nice chap..I think he said his name was Boucher or something like that, was our waiter. Look at all those glasses!! Very impressive.

Last Tuesday 4 folks from Mold arrived to help do some work on our church building! They've been working like trojans, every morning, & sometimes all day! Painting sorting out piles of rubble..we're so very blessed in them being here, things have moved on so much! Roger, Pat, Chris & Peter.

! Catrin & Gwilym had stayed at the parents of some friends they had met on CCIW camp last year..It was Jane Keel who transported them to be where they had to be to get the bus for camp, & Catrin to Cardiff to stay with other friends, John & Debbie Woolie.
Well, they said they were coming to Bordeaux during August, so of course they were invited to come for lunch here on Sunday. Unfortunately Jane had fallen down some steps on the Friday evening & spent most of Saturday in casualty! she seems to have torn a tendon in her ankle; ouch!
Thankfully they were still able to come, & bought some friends with them. Imagine my amazement when one of the ladies turned out to be the daughter a dear friend from my church back then, who played the organ for our wedding! Her mum had said to her "maybe you'll see Pat"
"Mum, Bordeaux is a big place, I'm not likely to bump in to her!"....

We were 20 for lunch, it was a really super time!





Roger preached for us on Sunday evening from Isaiah 55 " Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the water; and you who have no money, come buy and eat! Come buy wine and milk without money and without cost" He talked about the salvation from God that is free & perfect, we can bring nothing we can add nothing, it is a free gift!

v 6 " Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near" Do we look on this verse as a warning or an encouragement? If a warning then do what it says!

v7 "Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God for he will freely pardon"
