The team from Mold have been here a week now. Alan & I were chuckling to ourselves as we realised the poor folks have been having mince in one form or another ever since their arrival!
day 1; Spaghetti bolognaise chez nous
day 2; pizza (yes there was also a bolognaise one!) chez nous
day3: shepherd's pie chez nous
day4: lasagne, chez harriette
day 5: traditional french food, including snails, chez Miriam where they are staying
day 6: chilli & rice chez nous..that day we had about 20 folks, & often we do a big slow-cooker full of mince & things!
day7: chilli, chez Fiona
day8: who knows, they're at Dik's!
They aren't eating with us now til Friday, they've been invited out tomorrow & Thursday (along with us Daveys!)
We'll have to do beef cobbler or something!
Anyway, the work is coming on slowly but very surely. There's a huge pillar in the middle of the room, that looks a mess, but some bright spark decided that good old plaster board glued around it would work a treat..so we started that today, & although only one side has been glued on, it's made a vast difference already! Hoping to get that finished before Sunday, when we have a baptism..4 young chinese students!
