Well what an exciting weekend..but first I must start with a story Catrin told me

Last week she was coming home from Lycée on the bus & as usual it was full . They came to a stop, &a guy in front of Catrin kissed a young girl on the cheek, said "Pardon" &; got off fast..the girl was amused & it probably made her day.. no she didn't know him. You probably couldn't do that in the UK without getting a slap round the face, or sued for sexual harassment! I though it was rather lovely...

So anyway back to the weekend. We have new folks coming to the International service which is always exciting..but we found the sign of the church on the floor outside..It's made of plastic & you could make all sorts of excuses about the windy weather we've been having this week, even though it was well nailed on!! but I don't think it could be that..interesting eh...Also we had a visit from some friends who worked for UFM, & were in Brazil some years ago..It was good to see them..thank goodness for mince & my slow cooker, always a life saver when folks turn up.
Yesterday we had a phone call from a couple who were making there way back to Bath from Spain, but their ferry had been cancelled due to strike action, so they'd been told to go to Calais..so who could they stay with? So we met them for the first time, very nice young couple who know lots of people we know in the Widicombe church..&they know one of the new folks who had come to  the International service on Sunday evening, and has just arrived in France..so it was an evening or reunions & no, not spag bol, but chicken that I'd got out earlier that day..yes cooked in the slow cooker which I love with all my heart!!

The weather has turned wet windy & chilly..autumn arrival?
