le rentrée

Well it is such a BIG thing here in France, when all the kiddies go back to school/collége! On the radio, on the tv..I don't remember it ever geing such an important thing in the UK, though I remember the 'Back to school' adverts they used to have in Woolworth's.

Anyway, Gwilym has started his new collége, going by tram...Today he started at 9am & finishes at 11.50..ok for some! He may bring home a reviewed time table today, so will see if there are any changes, but so far no early starts!
Catrin seems happy so far with all her new teachers, she too doesn't have any early starts, and Friday she even starts at 9.40!

Three student helpers have arrived to work at FAC, they all came here for lunch after the morning service yesterday..The building has been completely renovated! Lots of change in the decor though not quite finished.

Dik & Hetty have taken up the role of Pastor & wife..services are very different, but good different too. We look forward to different things taking place throughout the year.

Alan & kids signed up for their music, me looking for another french course and continuing to visit ladies with books to read. Spoke to a lady in the pharamacy the other week & gave her my number, she said she'd phone, but didn't really understand what for! Not sure if it's something to do with English or not..it's just on the corner so I could just pop in to chat!

Guine pigs continue to grow, they will have to go to the shop very soon, though they are still so small! Folks at church who said they would take two, are moving house and so have decided that to take animals now wouldn't be easy..sad, but it happens..Haven't asked the neighbour in front again yet, but need to. She wanted a male and we have one, so she could take him easily if she really wants to. If they are all going back to the shom then there is no point in separating them, cos they'll all get put in the same cage anyway (yes! we know all about that!) but Catrin wants to keep one (I'm such a sucker!) so we ought to get the boy out of there sooooon, or we'll end up with several more piggies!

They are adorable, and if we never wanted to go away again then I'd keep them all! We have had an offer from Dik & Hetty to look after them, as long as it isn't more than 4!

Well better phone about french now..ooh I hate speaking on the phone!
