This week has been very exciting..as you know Monday was my first time as parent/sttdent correspondant, which went better than I'd hope.
Catrin has finished her exams..yesterday was maths & physics & science..the maths was apparently hard, but the others went ok

Friday afternoon I decided to go Christmas shopping! Someone had told me about a wonderful shop not far from the book shop..Magellan, & it's a world of delights!
They have wooden toys, small ones the type where you press the bottom, & the animal on the top goes all floppy..other types too. They have cds for 5 euros, umberallas for 5 euros, oil burners, you name it they got it, & not at all expensive, & nice stuff too. They do lovely jumpers & other clothes which are a bit more expensive, but it's full to the brim of stuff..I got all my family pressies there.

This year in the church we're holding our first ever children's club..called "Club bonne nouvelle" We're not going to push the gospel too much, we want to tell the Christmas story of course, but don't want to do too much "religious" stuff..the French folks are very suspicious of anything religious & different, so we want to let them get to know us first & show them that we care about them rather than just ramming things down their throats!! Letting our lights shine before men.

We hope to have another one in February..please pray for this very new thing & for all the organising & that children from the area will come along. 19 -20 Dec for 2hrs in the afternoons.
We will be leafleting the area this week.

Pray too for Harriette, it's her first big project here! That she'll be really encouraged, in fact that we all will be. We have a team of5 main people with other folks helping out..we hope to have a craft session, story time, singing & gouter..

Alan has been out thisafternoon practising with his band, for nest Saturday, when they'll be playing in Bordeaux by the Christmas market..Gwilym was at Lampadaire this afternoon, practising for the spectacle they are putting on for our Christmas service on 18..Catrin & I have been home (Catrin feeling a bit under the weather) making mince pies for the Anglophone Christmas service tomorrow evening.

We'll be eating together & having a message..Alan & I are doing the main course & have asked the other folks to bring something traditional from their country for dessert or starter.
Alan managed to find turkey joints, ready stuffed, frozen veg including sprouts!!!

So after tomorrow's morning service, we''ll be getting the room ready for the evening. The kids have repititon for the Sunday school spectacle.There aren't many Sunday school kiddies, so we're using the youth group too, though I too have a yearning to be an angel!! Ahh well a dream never realised..

So, it's another week of school, then the youngens want to go shopping to buy me a Christmas pressy! Oh yes & each other & Alan of course!!
