Sunday services

We had several visitors at church in the morning & some folks are back from holiday, so we were pretty full, which was great! Alan spoke from Ephesians, unity in Christ.

Then in the evening we saw some folks hanging around outside "are they coming to church d'you think" says Alan "nah doubt it" says I..they were some folks walking behind us "well, they are" says he, "they have bibles!"

Well, we had about 33 altogether, including the number of folks that come weekly...we were stunned and so encouraged!! Most of them found us through the internet! marvelous eh!!

Two couples from Holland, 2 families from UK, a Brazilian girl with boyfriend..she is coming to study in Bdx in September! It was just great! I put on the kettle (typical Brit thing to do) and we all had a cuppa and a good chat to find out who everyone was.Normally as we are usually so small in number, we sit around a table with cups of tea etc, but we had to sit in pews!!! One day we pray that that will be the ncase each week, not that we lose our informality at all, but to be filled with folks from other countries will be fantastic!

One couple & family help with the CCIW, the same camp that Gwilym & Catrin are on now, they do the catering the last week of August..so it was great to talk to them.

Another couple, the husband worked at RAF Sealand, which is just down the road from where we lived in Deeside! (He isn't there now)

There was also a french chap & his friend...

Alan talked from Philippians 3v11-4v1, how to continue the race & not give up inspite of all the pressures of the world around us..

It was very helpful & so encouraging to join together with folks from all over the place, truly and Internationl service!
