I came across this today in a book Alan bought me many years ago, and liked it! Very appropriate for this time of year..we got up this morning & the front lawn was covered in leaves!
This morning we celebrated Reformation Sunday by many protestant churches meeting together at a church in Eysine. They reckoned they put out 400 chairs, which were full, with folks standing at the back.
The church there has a band & a choir which was very good! We sang lots of songs that I hadn't sang before, some were a bit too repetitive for my liking but some were very enjoyable..
The pastor preached from Ephesians 3 plus other passages, about loving one another & being rooted in the love of Jesus.
This evening we were about 13. We're looking at the book of Judges & tonight we looked at Deborah, Barak & Jael: Why God's people need to be saved: The source of that Salvation & The ugliness of salvation.
We sang 'O the deep deep love of Jesus' & 'Before the throne of God above' amongst others
