One of those days

The lady who was very ill, sadly died this morning..Her mother called Alan, and he is at this moment with the family talking over funeral arrangements,

so please pray for the family that they would be trusting in God and knowing His loving arms around them.

Alan is to take the funeral on Wednesday and so will need much grace and wisdom as he sorts out the whole service.
Pray that he will be able to understand the needs of the family, and do all that is necessary.

Although he has preached many times now in French this will be the first funeral in French.

God's timing is perfect..please pray for the Pastor and his family still in the USA, who will obviously be upset too...

Another bit of news is that I had a phone call this evening from the chap who has to do with the American students coming here in June..The family and the American association had said that they would rather have a French family, as we may be tempted to speak English..

I totally understand! they have obviously paid a lot of money to come, and they naturally want a genuine French holiday, after all they are here to learn more french and the culture..

The man was very apologetic, and did his best for us and we're very grateful to him..still maybe next year!

So, Catrin is very upset, but we hope and pray that she'll come to see the wisdom of it all..

This evening we had the students here for a bit of grub and chat ..it was really nice, and they managed to find it ok. I got talking to one of the guys about what we are here for and what Alan does. One of the chaps expressed an interest in the Language class...
