We had a great time of fellowship together looking at Ps 111..and had an interesting discussion about what it means to fear God..many of the folks felt that 'fear' is not a good word, as it gives the sense of terror..some of the french bibles don't use 'crainte' but another word that means revere, or honour..
Then followed a discussion about using 'Tu' or ' Vous' If we are to think of God as our Father, ( the discission was whether we should call God 'daddy' etc..some people think it's ok) we are to 'Tu' him..well of course in English we don't have that problem! and we do in actual fact use the familliar form of' you'..'Tu' par example 'Tu est notre Dieu'
It was a great time. We ate together afterwards, there were 4 gateaux!!! We were all so full, I don't expect to eat any tea tonight!
