but with different meanings! and spelt differently, but that is difficult to know when listening to something!
I was listening to Radio Culture and someone was talking about paintings 'Les peintures du porc de Bordeaux' or was it 'les peintures du port de Bordeaux' (might not be exactly the same phrase, but it was definitley porc or port..you don't sound the 't' or the 'c'!) No doubt someone well versed in the French language would be able to realise whether it was pigs or ports they were talking about!
Are there special pigs in Bordeaux that they should have an exibition about them? thought I...
I had to listen quite carefully, and eventually sussed it out..they gave it away when they started talking about boats and rivers!
