an evening without the box

Yesterday evening we had a super time.I had decided that we watched too much TV, and not all good stuff (no surprises I suppose)the station is Prime tv and has a lot of sit coms that have not done well in the UK! So we had an evening of games!

The children came home from school, did their homework , then we had tea..Each one chose a game to play: consequences, hot potato ( a ball game like piggy in the middle)and then some on the computer against each other! It was great fun.

Then we had a time of reading from Romans 6, offering the parts of your body to God instead of sin. This passage had spoken to me in the morning; and includes in my way of thinking, our attitudes to God and to each other.

The way we talk to each other, sometimes isn't very nice is it, so it was a time of sharing this with the children and each other.

So now there are several programmes that we don't watch, no matter what some experts say, it does influence us, and not always for good!

We had the news today, that Gwilym doesn't have to re do his year, or change class! He can give up German, stay in the same class, and do Latin!

We're all relieved, and thankful to God !!
