Today we went in to Bordeaux to meet up with a friend who is here for 3months working in a primary school, teaching English..

She has come with a group of about 5..It's a really good experience, and a great way to improve your french..

We spent the day in Bordeaux, eating at Mc Donald's,OK, not that French, but cheap and cheerful, and they do great salads...We suggested that they do salads in the McDonald's when we went home to the UK,but were told there isn't enough call for them.

Then we went round the war ship, a tour which lasted about 1/2hr, and I took some nice pics of Bordeaux from the deck..

Then home, to get Catrin, who had gone to Scouts. They were spending the day at Arcachon on the beach.

The day didn't start off very promising weather wise, but the afternoon was gorgeous!

We were met by loads of traffic on the Rocade on the way home!!

So much for the 90km speed limit, we didn't even get up to 90!
