Gwilym starts collége

and he seemed happy enough too.

I was speaking to other mums, who said one of their children had a tummy ache, and the other mum said her child had been worried and crying..we're very thankful for everyone who has been praying.

Even though Gwilym wasn't in the same class as his best friend, he was fine!

His day starts at 8.30 mon, tues. . and 8am weds

( yes he has to go on weds, but at least it's only the mornings) and Fridays. So not as bad as we had thought! He finishes at 4.30 so that's even better.

Today was a bit of a mad day. We spent most of it in the car to and from school. There was the meeting of everyone in the playground at 9.15 which we went to after dropping Catrin off first.

The head(who was not there, ill for the first time in 18yrs, so it was the deputy) calls out the names of each child for their respective classes, and says "bonjour" to each one as they line up outside their class rooms.

So then we went home and about an hour later we were back to pick them both up for lunch, then back to school. The shape of things to come again.

We're hoping that they will both have at least one day when they have school dinners, although they aren't particularly that keen.

It'll be good for them to get to know their friends better and naturally, it'll give us more time too. I'll be at Uni. myself soon, and there is bound to be one or two days when Alan will have to collect them and have lunch without me, so them having lunch at school will help that, and give Alan time to persue what he has to.

Once we are in Pessac, it won't be so far either. Eventually Gwilym will be able to cycle to school as there is a jolly good cycle path from the top of our "new" road right to the collége.

Also it is our "anniversary" today. We have been here a whole year today! I can't believe it has gone so fast! We do intend to go and celebrate sometime.....

I even spent about 15mins talking to our landLord/lady this afternoon in French without Alan around, and they basically understood me!!

We were waiting for someone to come and view the house. I charged round the place making it look spik and span, I even had the coffeee percolating in the pecolator and would have had the bread on; but we don't have a bread maker, and they didn't come!!!!

Still, someone is coming tomorrow, so we'll have to have more coffee then.
