For the last 3 mornings we've had to scrape ice off the car..we know it's really cold when the thermometer thingy on out shelf tells us its 15° degrees in the house.
Then logs go on the fire, and it's mmmmm lovely and snug in the sitting room..
The fire is our only heating system, the radiators were pretty useless last winter, probably cos of the high ceiling, or just because they are useless. It reminds me of when I was younger, we didn't have heating in the bedrooms. The fire is very effective once it gets going.
Yesterday I went back to my French class.and really noticed how much progress one of the Indian young ladies has made, she hardly eve used to speak, and there she was chatting away! amazing.
