well today 6am started with Gwilym feeling unwell..temperature, cough headache..just as well Alan had bought back loads of aspirin, ibuprofen & paracetamol from the UK!!
Catrin's school phoned at lunch time..not well, feeling cold and achey! But..no car..what to do..have to take bus, phone Rhian to see if she could help but she wasn't in..so I started to wander up the road, and our friendly mechanic Cédric came over the hill like the calvary ( Alan had phoned him last night to see if he could just pop round and see what was wrong..he goes to our church)..so I asked him if he could take me to the collége to get Catrin which he did..sooo nice. When I got there they had put a space blanket around her!!
Then back for another look at the car, needs a new clutch mechanism..so Alan is phoning round this afternoon to see who and where and when it can be done, so mean while, back to trams and buses! might mean 2 weeks sans voiture!
Both children tucked up in bed, either sleeping or reading and just feeling generally unwell..Apparently over 50 youngsters have been sent home today from Catrin's collége with same symptoms!....and many schools/colléges and Lycées have been closed in the region cos of swine flu...not in our department yet, though in some of them, less no. of students are ill, and they have closed the school..soon peut etre??
