This morning I went shopping with Gwilym & Catrin to see if we could get them something to wear for the wedding next weekend, then a quick lunch before going to chorale practise..finished about 5ish..
When we got home all the shutters were closed "hmm, the kids must be cold.....but why has the clothes horse moved? what's happened? Are they ok?"
Went into the house met by Catrin "aww, missed you mum" ..
"Yeah, but why are all the lights off (switched on) what are all these decorations?....and why is there so much food on the table? Are we collecting for the hungry & homeless?"....
Suddenly out of the kitchen comes LOADS of people "SURPRISE!!!!!"
A surprise party!!! for me!!!!!!!!
I was soooo overwhelmed! it was lovely!! O boy! Folks from church who had made the lovely effort to come & do this!! Jenna & Vincent came withLuca, & everyone knows it takes a lot of effort to come out with a new born baby!! Even as I type my eyes fill with tears! I'm so thankful to God for such friends!!! Sadly Liz R & Fiona who put the games together & the idea were unable to be here..It had been arranged & re arranged several times (due to illness, mine & the family!)
But they did a special karioki message for me which was played on the lap top & projected onto a sheet some one had put on the wall (along with lots of photos! some pretty ghastly but hey, it was fun!)
We did a 'Mr&Mrs quiz, to see how well Alan knew me, & he did very well..17 out of 20 I think (or was it 7 out of 10?)

I am now absolutely shattered! but sooo happy & thankful to God for such a wonderful family, who kept it all quiet over these weeks, & for my extended family of God's people who made it all such fun!!
Thank you so much, the Griffin kiddies who made such brill decorations, that will stay up & be our Christmas decor, Liz G who did the computor stuff, Ben the compare,Gwilym & Catrin who whispered & plotted & planned without me having any idea! & of course my gorgeous husband who is always so good at having the house invaded so often!!
