Well we all made it to the centre today. Trams were working and the children were fine!!
There were about 8 students altogether. Plenty of food and it was great to hear them all trying to speak speaking English!
We had a talk about Christmas and what it used to mean and what it doesn't mean any more! The fact that in many places in the UK are calling it winter ville!!
Then the Brits amongst us sang "While Shepherds watched", and Alan got the students to repeat the second to last verse.."thus spake the seraph and forthwith appeared a shining throng, of Angels praising God who thus addressed their joyful song"
It was good fun, cos they all had a laugh as the French find saying "th" very difficult!! Still one of them was very game to do it on his own!
So, tomorrow Alan preacheth, and then we have the Féte de Noel at the chateau, where Catrin is singing a verse of "The first Noel" in French, and Gwilym has a part in some little sketch the jeunes are putting on.
Then it's back to the DEFLE for me on Monday, unless someone suddenly goes down with the plague! I'll get to do at least one of my exams!
