God has blessed us so much through Sammy & Carol & they will be sadly missed by us all, especially those who have known no other Pastor, and were perhaps converted under their ministry..
We got home about 1.15 thismorning! bed by 2am..I had to talk insecently all the way home to Alan to stop him falling asleep at the wheel (again!) and just didn't shut up..very unusual, cos normally Alan can't talk & drive, if he does he usually takes wrong turns etc, but last night was my night to shine.
This evening was the last international home group meeting for the summer..during the summer, we intend to meet every Sunday evening at Cenon, in the church, but this evening we had a bible study, and BBQ at the Griffins..We looked at Luke, the tax collector who gave up every thing to follow Jesus..Often one of the arguments people use to not becoming a Christian is 'because you have to give up everything' and that usually means wordly goods, and sin! This guy still had an enormous house, he used it to have a huge banquet, invited all his mates, and so they met Jesus..he used all he had for the gospel of Jesus Christ..a challenge to us all, are we willing to be used and to use all we have for the work of the gospel?
