Day for the scout group

The children spent the whole day at their scouts. Here is Gwilym having his tie re-wound by Baloo.

This was the last meeting of the year, and they had some games in the grounds for the parents to have a go at.

After this there was food. We arrived at 5.30 cos that's what it said on the letter. Others arrived about 6pm!

It wasn't the best organised evening I have been too.
There wasn't really a time table, and I had no idea what was happening when, but at the moment that is normal for me anyway! But it would have been nice to know when it was expected to finish!

There was food, and that is somethihg that the French do very well!!During the meal some of the little ones sang songs, and mimes,

Then came the spectaclé..the Lion the witch and the wardrobe!!

Catrin (pictured here at one of the stalls in the garden) was Lucy..

Gwilym was Peter complete with sword and shield, made by his own fair hands a few weeks ago, and other parts were played by other children.

they didn't have any words to learn, except the white witch and Aslan who did a spectacular roar

But O boy, the whole evening seemed soooooooo long!! It was good, but the children had all been there since 10am, they had been taken to the beach, a lovely treat! and the evening finally
finished about11pm!!!!!!

By 10.30 Gwilym was wilting and wanted to go home, but we were sat around the campfire (they didn't lite one cos of fire risk) singing songs and listening to a story!!!! That was long too, so we managed to sneak out just as the last strains of the song were dying out!!

This is Gwilym as Peter.

There was a little "fighting" scene which of course was right up his street! Catrin was manfully attacking one of the baddies with a little knife, although I thought it was a spoon! "why a spoon" you ask, well, she had a bottle of medicine with her, you know the story..Lucy is given some magic potion to give to the wounded..well, they had given her an enormous bottle, so of course I thought she was using a spoon as her weapon. Well, you would wouldn't you... Posted by Picasa
